The First Meeting


Yesterday we had the meeting.

It's the first meeting I had since I came to India.

Manthan introduced a lot about everything.

I had a complecated feeling,nervous,exciting,puzzled...

I think that I gotta try my best.

Next days i m going to prepare some information and go with Aashay to some places to check the situation of this city

And something else,i ll think about more

Now we give some information about our project.

Concept/Vision:

To influence the conservation, protection and rehabilitation of environment for the benefit of people.

Objectives:

  • To Promote understanding of environment related issues prevalent in India by working with NGOs on such Issues.
  • To show the importance of environment in the society and to bring nearer the process of bringing environment issues to main stream society.
  • Give interns a chance to learn about the issue and impact their society by sensitizing them about it.
  • To spread awareness about the issue amongst various schools/colleges.

Awareness through Education:

  • Schools, NGOs and organizations focusing on Environment
  • Educating villagers and unprivileged citizens on:
    Sanitation and Drinking Water
    Waste management
    Health and nutrition
    Ecology & Biology
    Plant & animal existence
    - Recycling
    - Bio-Gas
    - Alternative energy
  • Environment counseling to Corporates
  • Education and training in formal educational setups

Activities:

  • Opening and Closing Conferences
  • Field/Industry visit
  • No Littering Day
  • Air Pollution Check Day
  • Dustbin Day

Blog of the Project Gaia is started...


OC team of the project Gaia (Manthan, Aashay, Rajesh, Richa, Rupal, Tanvi and Dasha) starts blog. We will write about all events, seminars, happy and sad moments during our project. Trainees will share their experience, which they will get in schools, in villages, on roads (Dustbin day).
